With an eye on the market and more than a touch of ambition, Randy saw an opportunity and seized it with Dunes Properties. It was certainly an eventful year: 1989 brought Hurricane Hugo to the Charleston Coast, and many of Randy's longtime clients from his years at Wild Dunes needed someone there on the ground to report on the damage and the progress in the days, weeks and months afterward. So began a business built first and foremost on service, meeting the needs of clients who weren't certain whom they could trust to look after their interests. "What we thought would be exclusively a real estate sales business turned into a property management business as well," Randy says, "and from that we got into the vacation rental business too. That hurricane stirred up quite a change in plans for Dunes Properties and my vision for the business." |
